Your First Visit

• A detailed case history will be taken followed by a physical examination that may include clinical tests such as your reflexes or blood pressure being checked.

• Your condition will be explained to you including the benefits, risks and alternatives to treatment. If we consider that your treatment would be better under-taken by another practitioner we will ensure that you are referred to the appropriate health professional.

• Treatment will be gentle and non-invasive and will generally involve some combination of soft tissue massage, joint articulation, gentle manipulation, cranio-sacral treatment and advice on posture, exercise and diet.

• A treatment plan will be created and you will be given an idea of the achievable outcomes within an agreed timeframe.

• It is helpful to wear loose fitting comfortable clothing (i.e. no jeans).

• Expect to be treated with dignity and respect.
